Vivo had unveiled the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro handsets under the flagship X80 series in China last April. Within a few months of the launch, both the devices entered the international market as well. And now the company is planning to launch its successor Vivo X90 series.

Already several information about the devices of this lineup have started to come out. Earlier some Chinese tipsters said that the Vivo X90 lineup will be launched in the home market within this year. And now a popular tipster claims that the Vivo X90 series will debut in the domestic market in December.

The Vivo X90 series is coming in December

Vivo launched the Vivo S12 series in China last December. And earlier this year, the Vivo S15 smartphone series was unveiled in the home market. So customers can expect its successor Vivo S16 lineup to debut in December this year. However, tipster Assen claims that Vivo will not launch the S16 lineup this year. He even said that the launch of the Vivo X90 series will be the brand's next big launch event. Instead of the S16 series, the company will unveil the X90 lineup in December this year.

Incidentally, the tipster said that the product lifecycle of the Vivo X80 series will end this December. He also said that Vivo and Oppo take about a month to clear existing inventory before announcing a new series. However, the X90 series will be unveiled in December once the inventory of the X80 lineup is cleared.

Apart from these facts, the tipster has not shared any information about the specifications of the Vivo X90 lineup. The Vivo X90 Pro+ is rumored to sport an AMOLED display with curved edges, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 / MediaTek's new Dimension flagship chip, Vivo V2 ISP, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.0 storage and a 5,000 mAh battery. Will come with specifications like Its camera setup will include a 1-inch camera sensor, an ultra-wide shooter and a 64-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.

On the other hand, the X90 Pro is expected to feature an AMOLED screen with curved edges, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, a 1-inch camera sensor with Vivo V2 ISP, and a 4,780mAh battery with 100W charging. And the standard X90 is likely to be powered by a 4,700 mAh battery.
